Alenda Golf – the facts

Alenda Golf, located near Alicante, Spain, presents a well-crafted and scenic golfing experience. Designed by Roland Favrat, the course was built with a focus on respecting the natural landscape, preserving the indigenous vegetation, and minimizing disruptive earth movements during its construction. Completed in October 1999, Alenda Golf spans 49 hectares and features 18 holes, with a par of 72 and a length of 6,257 meters.

The golf course offers a blend of challenge and enjoyment, especially notable in the contrast between the front and back nine holes. The first nine holes are described as fun and relatively easy, featuring wide fairways lined with palms, carob pine, and olive trees. In contrast, the back nine presents a more challenging layout with narrower fairways.

For those looking to practice or improve their game, Alenda Golf boasts a full driving range with a variety of features including 25 mats, a bunker, two greens, and a pitch&putt area named hole 19. This area is well-lit, facilitating practice sessions from early morning until evening, throughout the week.

The complex also houses a Golf School, supported by the Golf Federation of the Valencian Community. It provides an extensive practice area with 25 driving range stations, catering to various skill levels in short and medium game practice.

In addition to golfing facilities, Alenda Golf offers a sport complex complete with a gym for improving golf swings, paddle courts, dining options with impressive views, and a shop where golf clubs can be purchased or rented. This comprehensive range of amenities makes Alenda Golf not just a golf course, but a full-fledged sports and leisure destination.
