Situated at the foot of the Sierra de Las Aguilas mountains, the Alenda Golf Club has built a wonderful 18-hole golfing experience with gentle terrain but still a challenging par of 72.

It’s a varied course suitable for all skill levels but you will probably have to use every club in your bag.

The tricky undulating greens in particular demand a good putting line that allows for the slope. Flag positions are changed on a regular basis so each green challenges your ability to read greens and pace.

Designed by Roland Favrat and opened in 1999, the course is mature, well planned and provides a relatively quick round as all the holes are linked together with short distances between the tees and greens.

The first nine holes are medium length, on wide fairways, but still require accuracy rather than strength. For the backside concentration is needed, on this technical part of the course accuracy is definitely more important than your ability to hit it long.

Take particular care at the tricky 16th and be careful where you drive your ball on the last. Many a match has been lost with water down the left, an elevated green that makes everything hit short run down the hill away from the hole.

The course offers a scenic view across

Alenda Golf has an extensive driving range that allows full drives from the 25 placement mats, there is also a Bunker and pitch & putt practice area.

The Driving range is illuminated and allows you to practice up until 22:00 h.

There is also an excellent practice area which consists of 6 tees of various distances that all converge on to the same green that has three varying holes cut.

It is ideal for beginners and experts who want to practice the short game.

The Alenda Golf Clubhouse
The clubhouse is ultra-modern and offers a fully fitted gym with classes for all types of health fanatics, a great restaurant with Menu del Dia, Al Carte dining, and Tapas. The well-stocked pro shop is friendly and accessible, there are clean and tidy changing rooms with towels available.

The clubhouse boasts fantastic views down to Alicante and the ocean whilst the surrounding mountains where Eagles swoop are just a glance away.
